Don’t Give Up. Sounds easy right? Well it isn’t, but I’m suggesting that you Don’t Give Up. How many times have you started a project just for it to end up as nothing? You can start a project, give up on it, then look back a year later and say, wow what could have been if I stuck with that project? If I stuck with that blog? If I stuck with that weight loss plan?
Don’t Give Up – It’s all about the big picture
-You need to stop thinking short term. If you think short term and want instant results, unless you have instant oatmeal, your not going to succeed. Unless you really enjoy failing? Who here enjoys failing? No one? Really? Exactly. No one wants to fail. You want to succeed and you want it to happen instantly. That is just not the case! There are very few exceptions my friends, but the chances of that being you isn’t very good.
–Think Ahead: You need to start thinking long term. How do you do that though? Well the best way for me is to set a series of goals and to smash those goals. Every time you smash a goal, you are lifting your project/blog/diet in advance and your lifting your ego as well. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. Then once you beat some of your goals, you create some new ones. Set up even more difficult goals to achieve the next time around but not to difficult that you will want to quit. Don’t Give Up no matter what!
-If you believe in something then you will succeed, as long as you Don’t Give Up!
Don’t Give Up – Real Life Example
-How about relating this to real life situations? Ok, Say you need to lose 60 pounds. You can do what most people do and starve yourself, lose some weight initially, and then gain it back faster than you ever lost it. That’s not thinking rationally. That is thinking very short term and not the smartest.
–Now the long term thinker. If you set a goal to lose the 60 pounds you can make this very fun and easy to accomplish and probably smash your goal. Example: Set a long term goal of 1 year. Which is 12 months obviously. If you lose just 5 pounds every single month, which is a tiny bit over 1 pound a week, you will hit your goal with ease. Then in just one years time you will feel amazing and look amazing.
Don’t Give Up – No One Likes a Quitter
-Who else has that one friend who starts a million projects and never finishes one of them? Or that person who has a new job every time you see them but doesn’t even seem to have accomplished anything? Don’t let that person be you. If you just stick with something, you will have no choice but to succeed. You need to make sure it’s something you are good at though.
-I’m terrible at some things but not many. I am not good at paraphrasing someone else s work. I would be a fool to try and create a career of doing that no matter what goals I had in place. With that being said, don’t try to achieve something that you know in your heart and mind that you can’t accomplish no matter what. Do something your passionate about. I’m passionate about blogging, and social media. Even as I’m typing this blog post I do not feel like I am even working. I enjoy doing this. I get even more satisfaction if you enjoy reading it so please leave a comment and let me know your opinion and thoughts. Thank You.
–Don’t Give Up, and Don’t Quit. You know why so many people quit right away? They get scared. They can’t handle what they got themselves into or they are feeling anxiety over failure. You know how many websites I have gone through that failed? I can’t even count on two hands. I have been making websites since I was 13 years old. I remember having to have my dad sign all the paper work on my very first bluehost account. BlueHost is a phenomenal hosting company by the way. Right now I have this website on HostGator which is also a great host. If you register and use my exclusive coupon code: POPBLOGSITE , You will get $9.94 knocked right off your bill!
–Plan ahead of time. Don’t just start something and hope it all comes together because there’s a great chance that it won’t. Set up an outline of exactly what you want to do, and exactly how you are going to do it. Give yourself timelines. Give yourself goals. Kill your goals, and kill it faster than you originally planned. Not Confident? Then start with small goals. Your going to feel great and your going to be happy with yourself.
There is a lot of meaning to the saying “You Only Live Once”. Do you want to be known as the guy who gives up and is a quitter? Or do you want to be known as the guy who says to other people down on their luck, “Hey, Don’t Give Up, you got this…If I can do it, you can do it!”
