Today is the 23rd day of my Intermittent Fasting Diet and I’m feeling a bit under the weather. I woke up with a sore throat and I had a head cold and had no desire to go to the gym. Luckily, I slept a full 8 hours the night before, and was able to push myself to go to the gym after all. Yes, I am that committed.
Yesterday, I mentioned that I wanted to burn over 600 calories today and that was my goal. Well, guess what folks? This morning I burned 611 calories on the elliptical machine! I was motivated and knew I was going to do it. From now on, I want to always hit 600 calories because think about it this way. If I burned 600 calories per day, for 5 weekdays each week, that is 3,000 calories burned. 3,500 calories equals a pound so 3,000 is pretty close to that. You naturally burn calories all day and even when you are sleeping so you could lose a pound of weight in a week just from the cardio you are doing.
I’m actually thinking about going to the gym twice a day on certain days because I am a numbers man and as long as my body can take it, I’m going to take advantage of it. Suppose I burned 600 calories every time I worked out and I worked out twice for 5 days straight. That’s now 1,200 calories a day burned at the gym, and that would equal roughly 1.7 pounds burned in a week, not to mention my metabolism will be increased a majority of the day.
Day 23 – What I ate
I did a little calorie calculator and just realized I consumed about 1,600 calories today. That is way to damn much. I am definitely going to start cutting it down and being more careful, I really want to start losing some serious weight and I need to crack down. At least, I have the gym going for me.
